LEADERSHIP HALEYVILLE STARTS SEPTEMBER 13
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS AUGUST 15

 

As An “ALABAMA COMMUNITY OF EXCELLENCE”
we are providing a dynamic, professional development program
to help the citizens of Haleyville reach their full potential

through effective leadership.

THE 2005-06 LEADERSHIP HALEYVILLE
program will begin September 13 and continue meeting the
second and fourth Tuesday of each month through the end of October,
with one meeting scheduled for the months
of November and December. Class sessions will meet for four hours.
Exact time will be assigned at time of registration.

Each session will allow the participant an opportunity to
identify and address community concerns and issues. The sessions will also
provide the participants an opportunity to develop leadership, decision making and
creative problem solving skills. This will be accomplished
using both individual and group activities.

An overnight retreat is planned for the Bear Creek Educational Center
in September as well as a visit to
Alabama’s State Capitol and Legislative Session in March.

Haleyville is an area with immense potential. Citizens of Haleyville recognize that the area is a wonderful place to live, work and play.

he future of Haleyville will be determined by the effectiveness of its leaders and the knowledge those leaders possess.

It is the intent of LEADERSHIP HALEYVILLE to enhance the awareness and knowledge of these potential leaders on issues concerning local and political needs as they are identified.

LEADERSHIP HALEYVILLE will impact the future economic, political and social dynamics of living, working and playing in Haleyville. By becoming a more effective leader you will help shape the future direction of Haleyville, making it a better place to live.

    Instructors
    A complete list of instructors will be included in your registration packet.

    Superior leadership is a critical component in the success of our program. Therefore, a great deal of time and care has gone into assembling the best team of leaders our area has to offer. In addition to being energetic, creative and competent, each instructor also has an extensive background in proven leadership skills.

    This program is open to participants from all sectors of the business and civic organizations. Diversity is essential among participants. A willingness to invest time, energy and effort is required. Effort will be made to select participants who represent a cross-section of the area in terms of age, sex, race, occupation and community.

    The class curriculum is structured to be small to generate and encourage the most
    meaningful interaction and expression of ideas and topics covered.

    Cost
    The fee is $125.00 per participant
    Scholarships are available on a limited basis, if you are in need of financial assistance,
    please fill out the necessary forms and submit it with your application.
    Participants must demonstrate consistent attendance at all
    scheduled sessions and overnight trips. Two unexcused absences will result in disqualification.
