Tuesday, October 4, Chris Wright, Winston County Forest Ranger was confronted by an armed robber at his residence in Double Springs. Later, a personalized plate on a vehicle parked across from the courthouse in Double Springs was identified by Wright as belonging to the suspects. This plate led the Winston County Sheriff's Office to arrest three individuals. They were apparently responsible for a ten week run of home burglaries that involved up to 7 robberies per day in Marion, Lawrence, Cullman, Winston, Walker, Morgan, Jefferson, Tuscaloosa, Lamar and Fayette counties.

The arrest of these individuals has solved 10 burglaries in Winston County and 3 in Fayette County alone. Two suspects are being held in the Winston County jail with a $50,000 bond each on a Burglary 1st charge. No bond has been set on Reckless Endangerment charges. The third suspect is in the Walker County jail. More charges are expected Tuesday.
