Adam Dockins, Age 22 & Jillian Catherine Carter Shultz, Age 21 both of Jasper
The
Newburg Quick Mart on Newburg Road called HPD to report a black pickup truck had
failed to pay for gas totaling $47. Officer Glasheen located the vehicle in the
Briarwood subdivision. Individuals in the vehicle were taken back to the store
where a positive ID was made and one of the two individuals in question admitted
they had not paid for the gas. The suspects were taken into custody and charged
with Failure to Pay. Further investigation revealed the truck, a 1998 Toyota Tacoma
was reported stolen from Waldrop Motors in Jasper on August 16 at 3:15 PM. Taken
into evidence at the same time was drug paraphernalia used to manufacture meth.
Both individuals have been transferred to the Winston County Jail charged with
Failure to Pay, Receiving Stolen Property - 1st Degree and Unlawful Manufacturing
2nd Degree.
