VETERANS MEMORIAL DEDICATION - DOUBLE SPRINGS COURT HOUSE

On Saturday, June 11th, the first countywide veterans memorial for Winston County was dedicated on the lawn of the Winston County courthouse in Double Springs.

The ceremony featured a speech by Congressman Robert Aderholt of Haleyville. Music was provided by Kenneth Harper .

The memorial consists of a five-foot tall black and gray granite monument that expresses gratitude to all Winston County veterans, both living and deceased, for their service and sacrifice.

Proceeds for the monument were provided by the Winston County Republican Party.
